At Direct Medical Transport Limited, we specialise in providing non-emergency patient transfer and secure mental health transport services. Our team is committed to delivering safe, timely, and professional ambulance services throughout the North East and across the entire United Kingdom.

We focus on putting the patient first every journey we carryout and are proud of our strong working relationships with many NHS Trusts, ICB's & private facilities across the the country.
Secure Mental Health Transport
Whether it is a one-off difficult to accommodate request or scheduled transport on a more regular basis we are confident that we will be able to meet your needs.
All of our mental health crews wear body worn cameras ensuring crew and patient safety at all times; all of our vehicles are fitted with CCTV and carry the most up to date control & restraint equipment ensuring the smoothest and safest journey possible.
We have marked, unmarked and single-cell vehicles within our fleet depending on the patients needs.
Crews can be all-male/ all-female if this is more suitable to the patient’s needs.
Patient Transport Service
We provide same day and pre planned non-emergency patient transport services for patient discharges, inter-hospital transfers, long distance transfers, enf of life transfers and transport for outpatient appointments.
Our services can be used on an ad-hoc basis or booked for set hours/days during the week.
PTS ambulances can be double or single crewed and are capable of transporting stretcher, wheelchair (including patients own) and walking patients; all of our ambulances carry medical oxygen on board.
Transport requests can be NHS or private and cover the whole of the UK.
