Direct Medical Transport provide secure transport for the movement and care of patients suffering from Mental Health illnesses and who are detained under the Mental Health Act, this service covers the whole of the UK.

Our Mental Health vehicles are configured to give extra space and comfort to help ease the patient and also enables health care professionals to travel with the patient, these vehicles are ideal for long distance transfers.

All of our secure transport vehicles have tinted windows for patient privacy are fitted with CCTV and our crews also wear body worn cameras to ensure the safeguarding of staff and the patient.

Mental Health crews are DBS checked and are trained in Safeguarding, Mental Health Awareness, Mental Capacity and DoLs, First Aid, Learning Disability Awareness, Autism Awareness, Infection Control and Physical Control & Restraint techniques.

Direct Medical Transport recognises the specialist needs of transplant teams and their patients; we have the experience and expertise to co-ordinate transport ensuring the safe and timely delivery of human organs, tissues, blood and medical teams to destinations across the UK.

Furthermore, we realise that on occasion equipment and staff may need to be returned to their place of work and we are happy to provide this additional service at a cost effective price.

Our staff are highly trained Blue Light drivers, with many years experience and are able to respond to requests in a timely manner.

Non Emergency Patient Transport

Direct Medical Transport provide non-emergency patient transport for patient discharges, inter-hospital transfers, long distance transport and outpatient appointments.

Our patient transport service supports many NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Boards (CCGGs) and private establishments throughout the country.
